“Take Time To Visit This Capitol”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Living here we take the Capitol Bldg. for granted but when we take company to see it they are impressed by the terrazo floors, paintings, the way the State is able to keep the past while utilizing the present in the House and Senate chambers and the good old "South Dakota feel" in the building.

“Memorial Fountain”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

They were working on the Armed Forces Memorial. Looked good though. No burning fountain though. Motel staff stated that the gas that fueled the flame had burned out. The life size statues looked very good. Quit, nice small town, we went through on our trip out west.

“Nice stop”
Reviewed August 15, 2012 via mobile

Stopped here with the kids for a photo op. The historic building is beautiful. The kids loved the park adjacent to the property. Bring some bread to feed the ducks and the fish in the water. The memorial is interesting and the grounds are pretty.

“Enjoyed touring the grounds”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

The state capitol building is really quite beautiful. The grounds have lots of blooming flowers and there's a good view of the river. It wasn't hard to find, just drive up the bluff from Sioux Ave.
