Very Nice place. Kelly Inns seem to be a just a tad more predictable than some of the other chain motels. We paid $72 for 2 queens with the usual amenities. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. We were happy with our choice

Since we had a full day planned we tried the convenient Continental breakfast provided. It was "OK", with the usual assortment of donuts , bagels, toast , etc. There is a 24 hour restaurant
convenient to the motel. If you need anything there is a Wal-mart superstore about a half mile away. There is a Perkins about 5 minutes
away.( We were too tired to explore the area so we went with the
"safe choice" - no surprises at Perkins )

Deadwood , and Sturgis are both about a 30 minute drive away. We were
on our way to the Bad Lands, but we took about a 2 hour detour to see what was there. Sturgis was all cycle oriented (Who Knew?) and Deadwood varied between the past ( who shot whom) and the present (casino gambling ) Deadwood is actually in a very pretty area -worth a drive bye.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Mitchell Kelly Inn and Suites. Unfortunately the guest who left the review was mistaken in the distance from Mitchell to Sturgis. The approximate distance from Mitchell to Sturgis is about 300 miles, along Interstate 90. If you are planning a trip west to the Black Hills please stop and enjoy a wonderful overnight at the Mitchell Kelly Inn and Suites.

The property appears to be fairly new, and everything worked the way it was supposed to. My (non-suite) room was large and quiet, at least after the party that was taking up four or five rooms on my corridor finally simmered down. Some of the ground floor rooms have access directly to the outside, which may be important for some people. The elliptical machine in the fitness room was a gym-quality Precor, not the junk you usually find in similar hotels. The difference was appreciated. Sorry, but the carved bears just didn't do anything for me. I hate cute.

Nice, clean hotel. Newish (~3 years old?) hotel off the highway in Mitchell. Good continental breakfast. Free High-Speed Internet in lobby. Near Culver's, SuperWalmart, and Cabela's. No extra charge for my dog. Have stayed at Hampton Inn across the road too. Equally as nice.

We stayed at the Kelly Inn on our way out West. The hotel looks like a log cabin inside and outside (cute carved bears that look in your window). The room was large and comfortable. The hotel looks like new and is very clean. The hotel had free internet access in the lobby (if you didn't bring a laptop). We were short on towels and needed to mail some post cards the staff was very helpful. We were close to 90 and within walking distance to restaruants and Cabela's sporting goods store. Corn Palace was less than 10 minutes away.

We stayed at the Kelly Inn on our way to the Black Hills. I was very impressed with the place. It was clean and new, my husband liked the outdoor-type decor and my kids had fun in the pool. The staff was friendly and I thought the nice continental breakfast was a pleasant inclusion. We enjoyed being able to walk to Cabela's, Culver's and the Wal-Mart Supercenter which are all located extremely close to the Kelly Inn. We were so happy with our stay that we returned for another night on our way back home to Minnesota. What I was most happy with was the great rate we got last year. (79.00) It seems the rates have gone up for this summer but I believe we will be back to the Kelly Inn. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We were very happy.
