Like the previous reviewer, we stayed at Town Hall Inn multiple nights the last week of June 2014. We chose it because we wanted something "interesting," instead of the busyness of some areas or the sameness of the chains. Beside the nearby "action" in Deadwood, there is not a lot of touristy things right in Lead, and that was just the ticket for us. Town Hall Inn was a reasonable base to visit Devil's Tower in Wyoming, Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Sturgis, etc. The host brothers were very gracious and tried to accommodate us in every way. The rooms are well maintained and nicely decorated, respecting the historic character of the building. The temporary noise of construction was not an issue for us being on the second floor in the front. For the quality of the lodging the rates are very reasonable when you can pay the same or more at a chain and stay in a much smaller room with no "character," When you stay with brothers Mark and Paul at the Town Hall Inn you will remember it and you will be ready to do it again. If we make the trip to the Black Hills again, we will stay there, no question.
