“Decent place to stop”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

Nothing fancy, but clean, friendly and exceeded our expectations. We had to stop due to a tornado alert and glad we did. The bed was new and good. There is not much to eat around so be prepared to buy something in advance.

A modest but very clean and comfortable. A homemade breakfast! Friendly and helpful owners. Recommend a stay here as it is a good value.
Steak House restaurant next door so you can walk over.
We will stop again.

We checked in late at night to an older but very nice room. No bad smells and no bugs and the beds were comfortable as well. Water pressure was great and the refrigerator was cold. We had a very restful nice sleep. The breakfast the next morning was incredible with homemade cinammon rolls and biscuits and gravy and other nice food items. I can't say enough about the value this place represents on your way to the Black Hills from the East. My kids loved it and thought it was the best hotel on our adventure.

We stopped overnight (on a friends recommendation) on the way to the Black Hills. Our family of 5 had plenty of room. The breakfast the next morning was great too. 1/2 the breakfast items were gone when we got there and there was still plenty to choose from. The decor in our room was newly redone so looked great, but our friends stopped there too and thier room was very outdated. The best part was that the rooms were CLEAN!!

Our family of six needed a place to stay traveling back east from the Black Hills. Found this on TripAdvisor and glad for the suggestion. We stayed in a two room unit and it was great: clean rooms, good shower, but best of all was the homemade breakfast in the morning. Nice owners, too.

After a long drive and not knowing the area, we got off I-90 and found this motel. I had talked, by phone, to a man at the hotel, but when we arrived and pushed the door bell we got the wife out of bed. The reception room (lobby) was small and advertised a complimentary full breakfast but only had 1 table that seated 6 people. The motel was a separate 2 story building, older but the room was fairly clean and the beds fairly comfortable. A sign on the mirror in our room conveyed the message of no dirty paws or shoe prints on the carpet. No dogs on the beds. Don't leave your dog in the room unless in a kennel. On the small refrigerator in the room was a sign - Don't put your pheasants in the refrigerator. If your in the area to hunt, you found a good place to stay. We left early the next morning and stopped at a fast food down the road for breakfast.

Room Tip: About 25 miles in either direction are other places to stay.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Great value for the price. They serve a great breakfast, Not much else in town, but it was a really pleasant place to watch the sun set, and then get a good night's sleep on a long road trip.
