“How B&B's should be !!”

What a wonderful surprise. If only all B&B's would be like this. Hans-Peter and Cristine make you so welcome, not forgetting their lovely cats !! The Swiss breakfast was fantastic, I can imagine folks going back just for that alone. Open your windows (during the mild season) and just breathe in that fresh clean air....I would absolutely recomend this to my friends and family.

When rekindling our marriage I knew a hot tub for my wife was at the top of my list. This place provided that with a one-of-a-kind view. I recommend the Mediterranean Room if this is what you are after. The soft, large bed, updated and comfortable amenities, and accommodating hosts made this the perfect place for reminding my wife why I am SO awesome! The breakfast reminded us of living abroad with flavorable cheeses and fresh bread, the ping pong table reminded us of memories of our honeymoon and the walking trails with a fresh pine smell reminded us why we love living in the Black Hills. Go here if you want to visit some place special.

We recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary and stayed at this great B&B.

The Mediterranean Room was nicely decorated and the hot tub on the private deck was hot and ready to be used.

The owners have 2 cats and my wife decided to let one into our room.. He was probably the friendliest cat ever and decided to stay with us through the night.

Coffee was ready when we woke up and after walking out onto the deck we noticed a flock of wild turkeys that were enjoying the morning as well.

Breakfast was great and conversing with the other people staying was a lot of fun! We will be returning! Thank you Mr. Hans Peter and Mrs. Christine!

We're a family of four and we stayed at the Blue Coyote BB. Our stay was simply delightful. The accommodations were very nice and well suited for our two kids. Christine and Hanspeter were so kind and helpful. They knew exactly the activities to do for our kids. Our trip was the best it could have been and I credit Coyote Blues BB for making it that way.

A very good B & B. Sizable rooms. Excellent food and plenty to go around.
Everyone eats at once so interesting conversation accompanies breakfast.
A long lower level stairway is a bit of a handicap for bad knees.
Well worth the drive from Hill City.

Room Tip: You might get a room on ground floor if stairs are a problem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Hanspeter and Christine, who were gracious hosts. We stayed in one of the Pine Rooms, which was small but big enough for us. We sat out on the balcony in the evening and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was similar to what you would get in Europe: 2 types of bread, muesli with chopped fresh fruit and yogurt, cold-cut platter, cheese platter an egg dish one day, pancakes the next, coffee, tea, juice. Common areas were very homey.

We stayed in the antique room, which had a private deck and hot tub outside. Clean, nicely furnished, and the breakfast menus were awesome! We had plenty to eat which fueled us for the hike to Harney Peak. Breakfast is at a set time, but there is coffee ready to go first thing in the morning which was perfect! I would recommend one of the rooms with the hot tub and private patio--unfortunately with the monuments closing and snowstorm we had to leave a day early, but I would love to come back.
