“Prefer the lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We ate here for both lunch and dinner. The food is excellent, however for dinner you only have your choice of 2 sizes of filet or vegetarian plate with noodles and veggies. I was disappointed that I had to send my steak back since it was overcooked (since they only serve steak they should be able to get it right).

Lunch is fantastic. A wide variety of German and American foods available. Of course their big draw is their deserts. The have a very large selection and they are very good,

“Wonderful German Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

Stopped for lunch and ordered from their German menu. Authentic German food served in a very old hotel authentically furnished. Small rooms that are quite intimate. Food was delicious and portions were large. NO CREDIT CARDS!

“Make a reservation...fast service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

We waited too long to make a reservation for a moderate dinner time and took the 5:00 time that was available. We had to fight our way through the line of people hoping to get a table in order to reach our party. One would assume that with such a busy place, the service would be slow, but this was absolutely not the case. With the limited dinner menu options, we were able to order quickly and only had a few minutes to chat before the food started to arrive.

The food was very good and the desserts were out of this world. The server was very accommodating with requests for an extra plate for one of our children and generally very friendly and welcoming.

I highly recommend the Alpine Inn. The food is yummy and the prices are surprisingly low.

“Small of Large Filet?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

Went there twice because it was so good. Go early and have a wonderful, large German beer, or two, in the cozy bar (with entertainment) before dinner. Great filets that were cooked perfectly and outrageously delicious desserts at a reasonable price. It is a busy place but very efficient and friendly. You will not leave hungry.
