My husband and myself really enjoyed our stay there. It was so nice having it within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and 1880 train, we really appreciated that. The cabin was nice and clean and the owners very helpful. We also enjoyed seeing the deer and the wild turkeys. Quiet area also.

Room tip: We stayed in Cabin 3 and it was very nice.

We chose to stay a night here on a road trip because of other reviews and it did not disappoint. Our half of a duplex cabin was delightful. Clean, well cared for and comfortable, Doug and Mary work hard at keeping their property up and their guests comfortable. The room (#1) had a small microwave, fridge and a table with two chairs. Location was ideal with the center of town a couple short blocks away. Mt. Rushmore is about 20 minutes away and we went for the night program so didn’t get to use the hot tub or the BBQ patio behind the cabins. Setting is quiet at the end of a side road. Cabin was a bit dark and ceiling about 7 ½ feet if these are issues for you. We would be delighted to stay here again. Deer wandering in the neighborhood.

Stayed here for a 50 year reunion with two friends. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. The accommodations were beautiful and exceeded our expectations. It was so roomy, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The location was very close to major sites. There were several restaurants near-by and a market as well. The owner clued us in on things to see. Deer came to visit us as we sat on the deck out back in the morning and late afternoon. It was very quiet. I highly recommend this place. I would love to go back again. Well worth the price!

Room tip: We had a 2-bedroom cabin, a full kitchen, dining room and living room, full bath, and deck. A gas grill was available.

Last minute availability led us to this perfect stay in Hill City. Mary, the owner, greeted us warmly upon our arrival to the 2 bedroom, one bath cottage which sits on the edge of town. Our back deck looked out up into the hills where we enjoyed a quiet morning watching the deer rummage in the trees. We were within walking distance of town with many choices for eating. This is definitely a stay that we will do again.
