We stayed in a double bed with kitchenette. It was spotless and very comfortable. We loved the well manicured grounds (beautiful flowers). There is a fire pit, small pavilion with gas grills and picnic tables, swings, playground, merry go round, volleyball net and horse shoes set up. We can't wait to stay here again with our granddaughters. The location is perfect (1 mile from town). The owner, Dixie, is fantastic and a hard working lady that takes pride in running a first class place.

We normally stay more in the northern Black Hills, but decided to stay closer to Hill City. My wife found Spring Creek Inn, we had passed it numerous times over the years but never needed a place to stay. Any way Dixie was a great host. The cabin was small but fit our needs perfectly. The grounds were very clean and Dixie was there with answers. The location was ideal for both fishing and close to good roads. I can't say enough about the cabin. Quaint but very well setup. Nice kitchen setup with room to sit and eat with a deck outside and grills across the road Bit tight for two couples but we have traveled together for thirty years so we know each other fairly well. I would recommend Spring Creek Inn to any body looking for a comfortable quiet place.

We're doing a grand loop to see all there is in the vicinity & this little Inn really had some nice reviews in the limited area where we wanted to stop - it was ideal. We stayed in one of the single storey adjoined rooms, but there were also 2 larger chalet-looking structures on the premises as well. Our hostess was delightful & made a delicious suggestion for dinner which was spot-on!

Room Tip: Everything is on the ground floor, so accessibility of getting into the rooms are not a problem.

A very sweet proprietress gave us the last room, but that turned out to be a mixed blessing. The air conditioner was loud and rattled all night; there was a lot of street noise, and the walls are paper thin. The Sturgis Bike Rally had filled the place with bikers, who sat outside their rooms (and ours) and chatted into the night. The room had an ancient TV (with cable) which we managed to tune to music to try to compete against all of the other disturbing background noises. The bed was not very firm, and all of these things contributed to a poor night's sleep. We thought the place offered breakfast in the morning, but the office was closed.

The lady at the front charged my credit card without ever calling me bc she saw more people than were allowed - my sister was staying in an RV park and we would meet at the cabin. When I called her to correct this she wanted all of my sisters information so she could call and verify. She was very rude, the cabin was dirty, and the stove didn't work.
