We were seated right away. It took a while to order and have our meals served, but not too bad.
If ordering a burger I would rec'd to order it medium well to well done - I ordered my Buffalo Burger medium as they recommended and found it a little too pink and gamey tasting.

We had the trout and the walleye and fresh vegetables. It was the best meal we had in South Dakota. The rustic decor and the T-shirt clad staff belies the level of service and their dedication to good food.
The fish was done perfectly. The baby string beans (don't call them haricot vert, this is S.D.) were crisp and fresh and you could taste the sunshine in them - must have been locally grown.
After days of Bison Burgers and Fries, you'll appreciate a great dinner prepared by people who respect the food.
Don't miss this.

There were about 15 people waiting when we got there. Put our name on waiting list-said it would be 30-40 minute wait but we only waited about 20 minutes. One got the Rib-eye steak and one got the Rainbow Trout. The steak had a really good flavor (much better flavor than the Filet at Alpine the night before). The Trout was very good. Had baked potato and Asparagus with it-asparagus was very good. Rudi was our waitress and she did an excellent job of taking care of us. We really enjoyed our meal here and the restaurant. They were quick in getting our order out. I recommend eating here.

We went there for a nice steak dinner but was disappointed. I got the sirloin which was overpriced and was very, very tough. The green beans were undercooked so we sent them back (I never do that) and there was no change so the waitress brought us the vegetable of the day which was very good. Overall it is a nice place, service was great but if your looking for a great steak I would pass and get something else. Had a 45 minute wait but got a drink and sat outside on their nice patio.
