We are staying at the Americinn (wonderful!) right next to the Perkins. Last night, we ate there and had GREAT experience. Our server, Hin, was lovely and attentive and the food was great (we only eat at Perkins when we are on the road and there is no other option, but this time the food was actually good). We returned there today, hoping for a repeat. The server was the most unpleasant person. She took all of the orders and as soon as she got to me, I had to answer an emergency call. I apologized profusely for having to take the call, because I have a serious problem with people who talk on the phone when dealing with another human being, in person. She never came back to take my order- I had to go and seek her out. After waiting for a ridiculously long time, I went and asked why our food was not ready. When another employee asked the server why our food was not ready, she replied, "She was on the phone and I put in their order after a seven top table." So apparently, this person's rudeness and incompetence is my fault. How about the coffee that we ordered, that never came? Were we to wait until the other table's entire food order was ready to receive a cup of coffee?? Needless to say, we got up and walked out.
