Being 2 days in Deadwood, we decide to have a dinner at Jake's at the Midnight star, "K.Coster's restaurant".
Reservation by phone was easy.
We arrived at 7'55 for a 8pm reservation and even our table was ready...we have to wait 20 mn before being seated(why??we don't
have the reasons even now...).
Menu is not exceptional , dishes are "heavy", overcreamed, not
bad but not raffined as you expect in such an adress.
The steak are excellent, desserts are casual(the always creme
brullee, the always cheesecake, the always ice cream,...nothing
out of the line...).
The winelist is not so bad, but the prices are high.
And in a such raffined restaurant, you can see people in tongs,
Tshirts and short walking pants, keeping their baseball cap for
An really overrated place where the diners are all but raffined..
If you want to be a *graduated restaurant you have to be
exigent with your customers...A small piece of respect for the others and for the servers is a minimum...Take off the Bb caps...
