“BIG breakfast”
Review of Howlin Hawg Diner - CLOSED

Howlin Hawg Diner
Cuisines: American
Description: Mainly breakfast items with great rolls. Strange hours, Tue to Sat 6am to 1pm, Fri and Sat 11pm to 3am. Huge portions with great taste. Suggest split plate order for 2 with carmel/cinnamon roll that is larger than your 2 hands placed side by side.Tried 3 different menu items and all were fantastic. This restaurant is recommended by locals to all.

“BIG breakfast”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

This is a pretty decent place to have breakfast. The portions are large, so bring your appetite. The service was fast, our waitress was nice and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and roomy. Our food was cooked to order, and arrived in a timely manner. No complaints here!

“Bland”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

We rolled into town and asked locals for the best breakfast spot. They recommended Howlin Hawg. We received portions of uninspired foodlike substances. Not so cheap either.
So if you want bland and costly - go there.

“Good, but not great”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Nothing to get overly excited about. Food was fine, service was good. Atmosphere was lacking.... The Howler is their signature dish, it is nothing more than an egg and meet sandwich. While we were there, the place was for sale... not surprised.

“Don't waste your time!”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

We went here for breakfast because of the positive reviews on this site. We sat down right away but it took 10 minutes for the server to bring us water. We ordered coffee but it never came. There seemed to only be the one server and she was busy but every other table had food already except one. The restaurant wasn't very clean but the menu looked pretty good. We were not looking for anything fancy, just a basic breakfast. After another 10 minutes of waiting for coffee we left and went to Perkins in Spearfish where we were promptly seated, given coffee, and our food order was taken and came out within 10 minutes. Unfortunately we won't be back because of the poor service.
