Go and have a drink in this bar with saw dust on the floor and long wooden bar just like you see in westerns. They serve good beer and food, Actors reenact famous shootouts in the bar and also on the street. Great entertainment!!

“A must see when visiting Deadwood! An old west icon!!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Located on the main street (and possibly the original main street): this is an icon in American History. Who hasn't heard of Will Bill Hickok and his "Deadmans Hand"?
Unfortunately, the original Saloon # 10 was located one block away, and was destroyed during a fire years ago. However, this is the original one to replace it. This saloon also has the chair on display that Wild Bill was sitting in when he was murdered. It is displayed up on the wall close to the ceiling. There is also some confusion if this is the original chair or not. Does any other reviewers know?
But back to the saloon: it has reasonably priced food and drinks, and is family friendly during the day. After 8PM, it becomes more of a traditional bar. The employees appeared friendly and offered good service.
There is souvenir counter located near the bar, that sells a wide variety of items. Most of them cheaper than you will find at other establishments in Deadwood.
Overall, a must see establishment while you are walking around the streets of Deadwood.

“Neat Museum atmosphere!”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

We went here last week! My youngest got to take part in the reenactment of Wild Bill's death! They take volunteers from the crowd so the kids get really into it! Nice, clean fun for the whole family! Love visiting here!!

“Best when not crowded”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Since we visited way off season, we didn't have to contend with hoards of happy guzzling gamblers that frequent Deadwood during the summer. This meant we could take our time enjoying sights and exploring. Saloon No. 10 has so many photos and interesting items to look at, including The Chair. There are several rooms to explore, but it is not an attraction a person would visit regularly, unless this is your favorite Deadwood casino and watering hole.
