We stayed at the Deadwood Mountain Grand for the second time and would come back in a heartbeat! Hotel staff is courteous, helpful, and extremely nice! Rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Definitely recommend the balcony rooms, if you can get one! Of all the places we stayed on our trip to South Dakota/Wyoming/Montana areas, this was by far the best!

Room Tip: Balcony rooms have great views of the city!

We stayed here for 3 nights/4 days, and had a great time. Hotel accommodations were fantastic. Room extremely comfortable, staff attentive and welcoming. We plan on coming back next year. Great spot as a base for exploring the Black Hills area. Take a walk around town, eat at the Howling Hawg diner and the Deadwood Social Club. Eat, drink, and gamble in the hotel as well. Best accommodations in Deadwood bar none. I will recommend this hotel to everyone. Fantastic time. Don't miss the cemetery tour (climb to top of Mt. Noriah as well).

After a couple of nights of "roughing it" in basic motels, this hotel/casino was a real treat. The casino/restaurant portion is in the rebuilt "slime plant" where ore and water were mixed in mining days. You'd never know, except from the outside with its' shiny tin exterior. The hotel commands a view from the mountainside, but is just half a block from the action downtown. The hotel portion is new - just 2 years old. We had a very plush room. Service was outstanding. We'd followed a tour bus in, but our valet made us a priority, and even helped my husband bring all the bags to check-in. (Love my husband, but he'd never found it otherwise!) The same valet found us a luggage cart as the tour bus was departing. Front desk was very professional.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor; our window faced the hill side about 6 feet away. (No peeping toms, for...

The room was large, well appointed, very clean, with a great bathroom. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The casino was fun and well appointed. Overall we had a great time staying here and seeing the sights in the area.

We've been to Deadwood a number of times and we always enjoy the fun times. But this was the first time we stayed at the Deadwood Mountain Grand. It was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived in the parking garage and met Jerry. He took care of us all the way to check in and to our room. He gave us a tour, told us all about the history and generally made us feel very welcome. We will definitely return.

This was our 3rd stay at the Grand, this time for the Deadwood Jam. Our room had a balcony facing the venue, very convenient during the rain to be able to see and hear if the bands were playing. Nice to have a refrigerator & safe in the room. Clean, comfortable and it doesn't take long to figure out the 2 sets of elevators to reach the rooms.

This was our favorite hotel on our 7 night road trip from Oregon to South Dakota. The hotel is only a year old and it and the casino are completely non-smoking. Our handicapped king room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. Our valet service was excellent. He waited while we changed rooms and he was very friendly. The only drawback of the hotel for us was that they allow pets in every room. We had a yappy little dog next door so we changed rooms. I would like to see 1 floor dedicated to pets. Not the entire hotel. We wished we had booked another night instead of leaving to stay in Keystone. The casino had a nice atmosphere too. Cute old town with lots of character. All casinos in town are non-smoking. I hope to come back.
