Decided to stay in the Deadwood Mountain Grand rather than go find another place to eat before show. Definitely understaffed...one harried waitress for a about 15 tables...waited to get menus, waited to get drinks, waited for the waitress to return to take order, waited for food, waited for check...in all getting a burger and pizza was 1.5 hours! No refills on beverages. Granted, it was prior to a show but the staffing level was below par. Food was average. Artichoke and spinach pizza had a gooey crust and way too much cheese. Handmade burger patty was generous and looked good. My dad was satisfied with the burger except that the pile of guacamole on it oozed out and over his fingers....couldn't get the waitress's attention for more napkins. Don't know that I'll plan to eat there again. Band playing in the lounge was good - wide variety of traditional C&W songs.
