Saturday night in Deadwood and we headed for the biggest restaurant in Deadwood to find out that a 1 hour wait was in store for us.
One of the security people suggested we find a hole in the wall down the street and up some steep narrow stairs would have us in this Awesome Restaurant.
And so it was that we were immediately seated in a booth and well served with Awesome food and drinks.
Thank you security person from the big joint up the road...you made our visit !

We stopped in since this was the saloon that Wild Bill was shot (please note: this is not the actual spot but you still get the feel of what it was like.) They had lots of pictures and history all over the walls and it was very educational to see what the town was like. We ordered a beer and of course, we had to gamble a little since we were in there with the slot machines.
My only complaint is they need to move the memorabilia that is behind the poker tables as you are not allowed to go behind the tables to see and read what is on the walls...and of course, it is dimly lit in there which makes it harder!
Before you leave, look above the front door and see Wild Bill's chair.

We had so much fun drinking at the bar here. It definitely feels like the old west. The drinks are inexpensive & the bar tenders are good. They also have slot machines and black jack.

This place is beautiful if you can find it. To get here, go to the Saloon 10, the door is sort of hidden, followed by a steep stairway; the first time we were here we thought we were in the wrong place!
The food was great, I had a pasta dish. The view was the best part, we were lucky enough to sit on the patio which provides an amazing view of historic Deadwood.
