We ate here based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. My husband had a steak I had the pheasant in Tuaca sauce. We were both very pleased with our choices. Enjoyed looking at all the old pictures on the wall. Great place.

The meal at The Deadwood Social Club was one of the two highlights of our visit. Excellent food and very excellent service.

Arrived in deadwood on Sunday night, checked in to the nice bullock hotel. A half a block down was the entrance to the social club. Don't let the steep stairway scare you off because a fantastic meal awaits you on the double decker roof. Incredible steaks, PERFECT drinks including my dirty gin martini. The only place to have dinner. Made the mistake of ordering a double decker steak for two at a place across the street. Tough stringy steak which they kindly replaced with hamburgers

We didn't have reservations on a Friday night and frankly, didn't check to see if they took reservations. However, we were seated right away at a nice booth. Service was efficient. I had a steak cooked to perfection--rare to medium rare. DH had pasta and said it was excellent. The shrimp and sausage appetizer was quite good. The wine recommendation was excellent.
