We visited the cemetery via the Boot Hill Bus Tour that parks on Main Street in front of Saloon 10; 3 adults w/ AAA discount was $24. It included a narrative of Deadwood, Lead, mining, fires, and a stop at the cemetery. You get off the bus and get an informative history on Wild Bill, Miss Kitty, and Calamity Jane - then you ride through and the rest of the areas are explained to you. Bus included the $1 cemetery admission price.

We did this tour as part of a bus tour from down town. Its a long walk up a very steep hill in very high temperatures & high altitude...take the bus! You get a tour around the cemetery, & see where Wild Bill Hickock & Calamity Jane are buried. Its a nice little visit...if you did brave the walk its only $1 to get in.

You have to drive out to the edge of town to visit and then park. It is up a bit of a steep hill to enter (important to some of us seniors) and the cemetery is spread out. It was well kept but not intriguing enough to be a real tourist attraction.

A trip to Deadwood would not be complete without a trip to Wild Bill's grave. The view is beautiful from up there. It is quite the hike to Bullock's grave, but well worth it. Do need to be fairly fit to make it up to Bullock's grave.

We enjoyed stopping in here to view the graves of the famous "residents." We came with a tour guide who made the history come alive. The views from atop the cemetary are beautiful.
