My husband and I spent 4 days in Deadwood (our first visit) and were very impressed with the Mineral Palace. Having traveled almost 1,200 miles, our Harley was riddled with bug splatterings. We were pleasantly suprised to see not only do they provide secure, covered parking for bikers, but also provided hoses and clean rags to wash the bikes! We have traveled all over the western U.S. and have never been to a hotel that provided this service. The first night, we had dinner at the Gem Restaurant and the food and service were excellent. The servers, bartenders, front desk, and everyone working there are very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Our only complaint was we were on the 2nd floor, and the folks directly above us on the 3rd floor made very noisy footsteps, usually around 2:15 in the morning, to the point, that my husband had to call the front desk on the second night of our stay and complain. Other then that nuisance, we loved staying at the Mineral Palace.
