“good for what it is”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

Lizard's Thicket is a chain of family restaurants in SC. They are clean, pleasant, comfortable places to eat. The food is southern style food, and predictably pretty good. It isn't gourmet food, or even up to Cracker Barrel standards, but it is a good thrifty choice, and the service is always friendly. I never hesitate to eat there if I am hungry and in the vicinity of one of them.

“Meat N'3”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

Come here for a meat 3 vege's rolls and a drink but you'll spend about $10. There are less expensive places for country cooking if you're willing to look around.

“Home Cooking At Its Finest”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This restaurant serves some of the best fried chicken livers anywhere! Fresh vegetables like collard greens are hard to beat. Butter beans and stewed okra and tomatoes were very good. Always try to stop here when traveling I-26 to or from Charleston.

Reviewed October 22, 2013

Get your country cookin here, where you will find many southern favorites such as black-eyed peas, cornbread, greens...etc. Desserts to please as well in this Columbia SC hangout. Multiple locations in the area to choose from and enjoy.

“Not As Good As Wade's”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

Typical meat and three sides restaurant -- not as good as Wade's in Spartanburg, SC. Fried flounder and fried catfish tasted good. Can substitute a house salad, which was large, for two sides. Macaroni and cheese was very good; did not care for the raisin/carrot salad.
