This is the first time I've stayed at a Microtel Inn. I was pleasantly surprised. The senior rate was $56 and it was one of the lower-priced hotels in the area. We were going to stay at the comfort inn at $85 but ask ourselves, why?
We were traveling and just spending the night. We needed a basic hotel with a continental breakfast and a nice clean room. That's what we got at the Microtel inn. Plus there were some extras. The desk staff was very professional courteous and helpful. The room was adequate size. It was not appointed like a Marriott but what did we Didn't expect that and we weren't Disappointed.
The hotel is off the highway and quiet. We had a nice view of the parking and woods from our room.
Newspapers were complementary. The cookies at checking were great. The ice machine gave us more ice than we could use.
The continental breakfast was typical fare.
Like I said earlier, this was the first time we stayed at the Microtel Inn, and I would stay here again.
I never heard of Microtel by Wyndham so I didn't know what to expect but the hotel was of newer construction. We arrived very late at night as an overnight stay towards our final destination. The hotel lobby was clean and presentable. The hallways were well lit and clean. The rooms were also clean and slightly bigger than I anticipated. Other than some interstate noise we all slept well and thankfully no loud guests. The continental breakfast was as expected and met our needs. However, there is a Cracker Barrel across the street. I am not particularly picky but for the money I wasn't disappointed at all.
The Microtel was very accodmadating. I arrived very late and was made to feel very welcome. Being the fact that I was from out of town, that was very nice. I was surprized to see how nice the rooms were because the price was reasonable. My sleep was great as well as the continental breakfest the next morning. It was a bit hard to find the hotel when I got off the exit but I am glad that I was persistent. Thank you for your nice service.
