We stayed here for two nights recently on a road trip in the southern states. Firstly the house is beautiful and historic and a wonder in itself. The guest rooms are sumptous and although the bathroom is "antique" it still functioned perfectly. A room heater was foisted on us in case we were chilly but being from England we didn't feel we needed it. We didn't have breakfast as this is only offered on the weekends, but we did have dinner on the Thursday evening and it was one of the best meals we had in the US. Properly home cooked food rather than the usual big chain offerings of everything fried. Wine is good; we could only manage one dessert. I strongly recommend taking a meal there if you are around on the right night. Afterwards we got chatting with Patsy and Betsy and found out more about the history of the house and had a little tour! We hope the birthday celebrations went well on Sunday 14th! A very memorable stay and highly recommended - you will be delighted.
