“Very Interesting Tea Plantation”
Reviewed March 25, 2012

This is the only tea plantation in the U.S. As such, we were eager to see it. It's a pretty drive out to this plantation. The gift shoppe is nice and the staff very pleasant. The only charge is for the trolley tour of the plantation, which is the reason for going there. The trolley is an antique acquired by the owner and open air or covered. The driver was informative. We enjoyed the tour and would like to see it when the flowers bloom in the fall.

“Interesting tour, beautiful scenery”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

The drive out to the plantation down Maybank Highway is long, but interesting. Kind of like going back in time. the tour is informative and interesting, and the guides are personable and entertaining. Nice samples of the tea, and nice gift shop. A must-see if you're in the area!

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour around the plantation. The staff was very cheery and had answers for all of my questions. I learned a lot of new things about tea and would highly recommend it to everyone. There are free samples of cold and hot tea available for all visitors.

“Interesting Place”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

I drink a lot of tea, so it was very interesting to me to see a tea plantation. We did not spend a ton of time here (less than an hour), but it was still great to see the tea growing and learn about the harvesting process. The visit is free. There is a fee if you want to take the trolley tour around the grounds.
