We live just around the corner from Sambino's and have eaten there many times. The prices are great and the food excellent. The lunch specials may have small portions, but I find them just right (unless you want to weigh 300 lbs) and at a super price. They have improved their red sauce for what it was a few years ago and it is much better. It is one of the best places to eat in the Sumter area and the best Italian restaurant.

The Sunday buy one special and get one free is the best deal in town.

Music on the weekend with tasty food and reasonable prices...what more can you ask for, try it you will like it.

We came to Shaw AFB for the weekend and a group came to eat at Sambinos after looking on TA for a local place to eat. The reviews had this place as 26th out of 37 in Sumter. Are you kidding? The food here was excellent, the portions huge and the service was great. This is an honest review and I will tell you that from the delicious bread bites soaked in garlic butter at the start, to the exceptional entrees and specials, this place is a great choice. Would highly recommend to anyone. Skip the chains in the middle of town and give this place a try. I had the seafood manicotti, friends had the veal/chicken Parmesan and all tasted great.

Walking in it was clearly evident that this used to be a convenience store, thought maybe a little more effort in covering the old cooler doors would have been taken. After being seated, our server was unsure what beer was available as well as the soup of the day. Figured that an "Italian " restaurant would offer some type of Italian salad dressing, I was wrong. When the main course arrived, shrimp fettuccine Alfredo & shrimp and Brits, I was surprised to find that in both dishes, half of the shrimp had the tails removed, the other half still on. The one good thing was the gentleman playing guitar.

I have tried this restaurant several times, hoping for improvement. The lunch and Sunday portions are small, and if you order fish the piece is so small you will have a hard time finding it! Each time I have eaten at Sambino's the food was lukewarm .. not so appetizing. But, they do have really good garlic rolls!
