"Italy" has occupied the former Mustard Seed Restaurant in Summerville, SC.
My wife and I decided to try this newer restaurant which opened in February 2014.
We arrived as they opened on a Saturday afternoon at 5. The wait staff greeted us warmly and seated us. The interior has been newly decorated in pleasant colors and the glass topped tables covered tablecloths. Our waitress was a most pleasant and informative server.
We began with an antipasto misto which was sliced Italian ham, sopressata, salami and provolone over a bed of greens with balsamic accompaniment. Deliciozo! My wife ordered eggplant parmesan with angel hair spaghetti and I saltimbocca in a white sauce with a side of zucchini, onions and mushrooms. The food was very tasty and abundant enough for us to take home a portion each. Wine (or beer) was available no hard liquor. We ended with a cannoli.
The Chef/Owner came by our table to ask if all was satisfactory.... and it was. The tab was a bit overpriced however we will return to try other dishes to compare to the other local Italian restaurants. Despite mixed reviews we did enjoy our dinner,
