I've eaten here quite a few times over the years and my assessment remains the same. It's not in the same league as the downtown restaurants. Oscar's does deliver some very nice dishes but not of the caliber you would expect from a major league dining place. And, therefore, over priced especially considering portion size and sides. My most recent visit was prompted by their new Thursday night Cheese Plate and Wine Pairing promotion. While I applaud the attempt, I must say the product was lacking. The cheeses were no better and perhaps less interesting than those I could have purchased at Whole Foods. A gouda, gruyere and blue with dry walnuts and a little jelly. All very ordinary. No where close to a major league lineup. The wines did pair well in that they too were mediocre. I had a pepperoni and mozzarella pizza that was ok and my partnedr had the vegetable pasta which was very good but at $14.95 short on premiere vegetables. The "hits" are there but out of the parkers aren't common.
