I had two meals. The dinner with a large group was okay, but not terrific. The salmon was over-done. Those who had steak had 'issues' with done-ness. The service was disappointing. The poor waitress seemed to be the ONLY one for 20+ people. It wasn't her fault. Meals got cold while she brought plates -- two-by-two-- to the table.

Lunch was a different experience. The Reuben was extremely tasty and high quality. More impressive was the waitress. I informed her that i would linger while I waited for a ride (after checking out). She was attentive and kept me served with iced tea, checking back often enough to show she cared, but seldom enough not to intrude.

Walked in at around 8pm and no hostess was on duty. Took us 10 minutes to be greeted by the waiter. Service is ok at best and the food is terrible. I ordered the ny strip and it was very fatty. Bill came out to 96 bucks. Drinks were over priced and the only good thing was dessert. No wonder this place has no business.

I had the lobster mac and cheese and the fried green tomatoes. Both were very beautiful in presentation and quite tasty, as well! My server suggested a Pinot Noir that was also very nice. Friendly service and a nice restaurant.

My wife and I arrived in Spartanburg tired and did not want to go back out so we settled for Sparks the in house restaurant at the Marriott. Judging from the empty dining room we expected typical mircro heated hotel food. Nope, the food was excellent, we were greeted warmly and our waitress Paige a joy. My wife had the fried green tomatoes with crab and remoulade, brocolini, fried shrimp and lobster dumplings all presented uniquely and seasoned perfectly. I had the filet with the unusual four cheese potatoes, really good. We are picky and hard to please so you can trust this review.
