This is a simple restaurant featuring good home cooking. Ambiance is actually pretty good for this type of place. Buffet style eatery, with good selection of well-done basic foods. Service is good. Price is good. Much better choice to go for good home cooking than another much highly-touted local place very close by.

Wasn't sure how they were going to compete with Wade's just across the parking lot but they are doing fine!! Their buffet is heaped with all the foods we love and unlike some places whose food tastes like they opened a can, their's tastes like they've been up cookin' for hours!! Its all you can eat so come hungry! Their turnip greens are to die for!

This place is an okay alternative to the far superior Wades. It is nice that it is an all you can eat buffet for a moderate or low price. Drinks cost too much. Food is not as flavorful as wades. The rolls they serve are clearly not home made. The green beans tasted straight out of the can. Fried chicken was great, but because it was the best thing they had to offer, it was constantly gone from the buffet. I went here on a holiday when Wades was closed and I liked that it was available when Wades was not. This place is good, and if there were no Wades, I would eat here. The only way they would win my business when Wades is open is to make home made yeast rolls instead of the clearly store bought stuff they serve and they need to improve the veggies. Again green beans tasted straight out of the can.

I was shocked by how good this place was. The price is less than $7 for buffet no matter what time of day. They had an lot of different meats to choose from. The collard greens are the best I've ever had. It's cheaper and tastes better than Wades.

This is a new restaurant in Spartanburg. I have been here several times over the last few months. This is great southern home cooking. The meat loaf is really top notch. So are the fried onion rings. In fact all the fried food, and there is a lot of it, is done right, not like most places whose fried food is greasy. In fact the fried okra is next to the best I've ever tasted. For under ten bucks with drink and desert it can't be beat. The only reason I didn't go 5 bullets is that they always seem to be a little short on staff even though there is always a 'help wanted' sign in the window. For this type of food you ought to give it a try.
