“Gotta try the Vietnamese 50/50 burger!!”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

I went to Cribbs for the 1st time with my sister and, being a lover of ethnic foods and foods with unusual ingredients, the Vietnamese burger caught my eye. I'll tell you what, it is AMAZING!! It's called 50/50 b/c they grind 50% bacon & 50% beef together to make the burger meat. The pickled vegetables pair perfectly with the sauce & meat is cooked perfectly; it has fresh jalepanos for extra kick (you can pick a few off if a little too intense), and is served on a toasted sub roll. Their keeping it true to the ethnic inspiration is spot on (I've had a similar sandwich from an Asian store, and the roll, jalepanos, and pickled veg is how they did it). I also ordered their cous cous for a side and it was very good as well. I've been there twice and ordered the same thing both times, so can't tell you how anything else is--I'm hooked on this sandwich!! The atmosphere is very stream-lined and clean without a bunch of clutter. The prices are a little high, but the food is original & not just your run-of-the-mill place. Definitely would recommend for a nice lunch out. I was also told that if you're affiliated with a school (as a student or teacher) that their burgers are 50% off on Saturdays (you may want to call to make sure that is right b/c I haven't personally taken them up on this offer). They also have outdoor seating for nice days out.

“I'd only go again if someone else paid”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Based on the menu and pricing, this restaurant wants to be upscale, but misses the mark. The food was OK, but nothing spectacular. I ordered the pork loin and was asked, "How do you want that cooked?" Really? Does anyone EVER order their pork rare? I didn't want it well-done, but I did want it with just the slightest bit of pink - the way most good restaurants cook it without asking. And I certainly did not want to have to explain that to the server. My colleague, a beef-loving Midwesterner, ordered a steak that she described as average at best (although it WAS properly cooked).

We sat at the bar because we did not have reservations. Service was good (probably the best thing about this place), considering we were there on what appeared to be a prom night. The restaurant decor (industrial chic?) does not lend itself to quiet conversation - too much noise bouncing off the ceiling and walls.

“Enjoy the atmosphere and food”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

Can't get enough of their food, including burgers and seafood. Everything here tastes like its made from scratch, not like big chain restaurants.

Cribbs seems to be where we always meet with friends. The food is consistently great. The menu is varied enough to please even the pickiest members of any group.

“Loved the atmosphere and the food!”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Was in town for business and stopped next door at RJ Rockers for tasting night and couldn't pass up the crowd next door. Live music on a Thursday night, and great food. Great selection of draft beers and the burgers are EXCELLENT!! Defintely would come back for the food!

**Do keep in mind the kitchen is closed from 3-5pm daily.
