The hotel is okay, but not the usual standard we’ve experienced at other Hampton Inns. The room was tidy but didn’t seem all that clean. We utilized the free breakfast which was okay but not great. Not as many options as usual, maybe because it’s a smaller older hotel. The front desk staff was nice.

Love the brand, but execution on service isn't keeping pace with competition. I'm beginning to trust "Trip Advisor" more than "Hampton" and that will be a game changer if the rest of us who used to be loyal to Hampton shift to a more diversified group. This hotel was clean and the front desk friendly, but only narrowly performing inside of expectations. These days, to get a "5 Star" review, one must exceed expectations--not simply meet the low side of tham.

This was my first trip to Spartanburg. The Hampton Inn is my go to chain and consequently my choice here. It didn’t disappoint. It was close, friendly, clean and a great value. I definitely would stay here on a return trip.

My family and I spent one night at the Hampton Inn in Spartanburg, SC. We were very impressed by the hotel -- the staff was extremely friendly during check-in, check-in was quick, and our room was large (it appeared more spacious than a typical Hampton Inn room). The beds were extremely comfortable -- so much so that we actually slept in by accident! The breakfast the following morning was also better than a typical Hampton Inn breakfast, as it had a variety of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries) in addition to other standard items. As far as location, there are a number of fast-food eateries right near the hotel. In total, we found the Hampton Inn in Spartanburg to be an excellent hotel close to the highway.

Surprising quality in extremely convenient location! Breakfast buffet better than typical offerings found at inexpensive hotels (it included fresh berries and nuts). The complimentary on-the-go bag of water, fruit and snack was a special touch.
