This new spot serves lunch and dinner with a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains. The lunch menu was varied enough for most tastes; the prices quite reasonable; the wine and cocktail list adequate. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. I found the piped "music" a tad strange at times and at first too loud.

great steak, poor appetizers and poor dessert. we realize there isn't any true competition to get the lake dining experience, however, this place would be a gold mine if they would pay more attention to their food - it tastes very amateur and doesn't match the setting

We arrived on our boat and found one of the last boat slips, although shallow, still, there was a dock attendant who quickly assisted us. It was early on a Saturday night and it looked like they had other slips nearby with a golf cart shuttle up the hill to the restaurant. The staff was very pleasant and we were very pleased that they had a gluten-free and vegetarian menu, just what our party of five needed. My husband got a steak and did not like it. The server was great and quickly brought him a new meal which was delivered by the manager with a professional apology and great communication skills. They handled the situation very well and we were all happy with our various meals. The crab bisque soup was yummy and three of us enjoyed salmon salads. We did not stay for dessert but hope to return again sometime soon.

We visit the Clemson area regularly. While we enjoy Calhoun Corners and Pixie & Bills in Clemson, we could never understand why no one had put a restaurant on beautiful Lake Keowee. The Lighthouse has seemingly answered the call -- finally. Importantly, it is accessible by both car and boat (although I did hear several patrons complain about the need for additional slips at the dock). Great views from almost every table, this restaurant has potential if the locals support it. We enjoyed both the Chilean sea bass (the daily special), the salmon, and the veal. The wine list is adequate, and the server was reasonably knowledgeable. Interesting to listen to the several tables of locals around us offering advice to the owner -- they clearly want this place to succeed. My only disappointment was the "peach cobbler" -- or at least that is what is was listed as on the menu. There are a lot of things a South Carolinian restaurant might not get right, but one of them cannot be peach cobbler.

We have been coming to the Clemson area for several years. As beautiful as Lake Keowee is, it was difficult to understand why there was no restaurant that capture the view. So when we heard about this new place, we decided to test it out. The food was very good. I particularly enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, but also the other dishes were very good. The shrimp and grits were uniquely prepared with a smoked cheddar sauce -- I am certainly going to order it in my next visit - and the teriyaki salmon was also very tasty. The wine list is adequate and reasonably priced. The service was good. The peach cobbler could use some work but the creme brulee' was very good.
