We stayed at Pelican Watch Villas. These villas are perfectly suited for a relaxing stay at Seabrook. You are right on the Edisto River, which feels like the Atlantic as it is so vast and at the point where the river flows into the Atlantic. The tides are big at Seabrook (over 6 feet at times). So you need to plan your days according to the tides. We had a 1 bedroom 2 bath villa and there were 2adults and 2 teenagers. We cooked and ate in almost every night....the sunsets were beautiful, why would we go anyplace else. Our teenagers slept on the pull out couch and they said it was comfortable. Even though the villa is small, we never felt like we were tripping over each other. Some of the Villas are pet friendly. We rented bikes and it is an easy ride to the beach club as well, easy to ride to Captain Sams Inlet at low tide to see the dolphins strand feed...a site not to be missed. We also brought a kayak and took it out a couple times. Again, pay attention to the tide schedule as it can make your job a lot easier or a lot harder. You also cannot leave the kayak on the beach and storage on the deck is limited...so plan on what you will do with your kayak ahead of time. Seabrook is a nature lovers paradise. We saw dolphins, deer, birds, crabs and fish daily. We did purchase the amenity cards and did enjoy the beach club, but also enjoyed having the beach right outside the door all to ourselves.
