Very nice facility for a nice drink and dinner. Just like being home.

Stopped for lunch on Rt. 95 heading south to FL. We were in a bit of a hurry and everyone in the place mobs in slow motion. We opted for the buffet. The only healthy item was the salad. Fried chicken, casseroles, etc. clientele was definitely seniors for the most part other than a couple business people. Hoping for a B&B type of restaurant but disappointed. they did have a gift shop but carried nothing local.

For years while traveling we always try to stop at Clark's,especially for there fried chicken. We were disappointed in the size of the portions this time. The chicken as before was good, but the chicken leg may have been the smallest I was ever served anywhere! Still good service and atmosphere.

Staff was friendly, but waiter was borderline incompetent. We were the first table in one of the overflow areas and it was like someone forgot to tell the waiter we were there. Then he kept forgetting about us. The interior is charming, different, with a relaxing upscale atmosphere. Hostess saw things weren't going right and tried to make up for it, but fell short as we had to ask for refills of water, drinks. Had to remind waiter what we asked for. And it was pricey. And the food was decidedly mediocre. Lobster bisque not only didn't have lobster, it didn't even taste like a lobster had been within a mile of it. The signature "Famous" roast chicken was so overcooked and dry I had to smear cranberry sauce all over it to help it slide down my throat. Sauteed vegetables seemed to be from a steamer bag, not a pan. The cheese biscuit things were fairly tasty. I didn't taste it, but was told the stir-fry was pretty good.
