We spent a wonderful weekend at Sunrise Farms. The entire inn was very clean. The bed was so comfortible. The best part of the stay were the hosts, Julie, Jeff and their daughter Madison. We were in dire need of a change from our hectic pace and Sunrise fit the bill excellently. Julie was so thoughtful in preparing a breakfast that would accommodate my husband's diabetes and my food issues as well. We look eagerly to the time we can return for another stay.

Sunrise Farm is such a great B & B. It is a warm and cozy Inn set back in the mountains of South Carolina. They have a range of farm animals that are friendly and welcoming, there are accommodations for your pets and the experience is one of a kind! My husband and I were up there for Christmas and Julie and Jeff took such good care of everything for us. They are inviting and attentive, but give you complete privacy. I very highly recommend this bed and breakfast if you need a break. I stayed in the Corn crib cottage and it had everything you could need in a quaint country style decor

This B&B is in a quiet, country setting. The innkeepers are delightful and helpful but not intrusive; the breakfast and snacks are plentiful and tasty; the location is away from towns and "busy" activities; the natural and quiet setting is very relaxing and near enough to small towns for exploring; nearby waterfalls are beautiful and lakes are close. Great place to recharge your batteries and get away from it all.

This was the first time we stayed in a bed and breakfast and now thanks to Julie, Jeff, and their daughter we will definitely try more!! This place is very clean, very quiet, and a wonderful atmosphere. I hope to return in the future and stay longer. It is very close to Lake Jocassee and many others. You will not regret staying here they are very accommodating, very helpful and the hospitality was great! The breakfast was also very good! Julie is an excellent cook! Another thing is that you can tell that you are in a Christian atmosphere, which was a blessing for us because we just lost our daughter back in January and needed a nice environment and a comfortable get away! One other thing the beds slept great!! The Gates Family

We've stayed in many a B&B, and the spirit of the place is part of the experience. From the time we stepped across the threshold of Sunrise, the serenity and peace of this home was palpable, and we totally relaxed and enjoyed all the inn had to offer, which is amazing. The place is lovely, the innkeepers delightful and gifted at what they do, and the surroundings... just perfect simplicity. Julie is graciousness defined, and she does breakfast in several courses with the flair of a big city chef, with different gorgeous settings each morning, and featuring fresh local specialties. Even tho it was early January, it was still fullblown Christmas here at the farm(she was saving it to show her mom) and we even needed that! as our holidays had been consumed with a death in the family.
Just a lovely, lush memory, in a corner of the South that is untouched by big highways and big tourism. And the value was stunning, we added 2 more nights rather than our first plan of traveling on, and ending up spending way under budget!
This place is a slamdunk gem, if you want to get away and maximize your few days of peace, there is no better choice. Can't wait to get back.

This Bed and breakfast is darling. From the comfortable and high thread count in the crisp sheets, to the home baked cookies and the adorable farm animals, this is a quaint restored 120 yr old charmer.
Julie and Jeff, the hosts, couldn't be nicer or more knowledgeable about the area, and Julie is a good cook that uses the freshest organic ingredients in her delicious breads and fruit dishes.
For breakfast each day we had a choice of beverage both hot and juice, wonderful fruit medleys or yogurt and fruit concoctions that were delicious and healthy, and either pancakes, waffles or an egg dish. Wonderful beginning to the day! right outside the dinning room windows were 12 cardinals Yep, we counted!
We stayed in The Humming bird suite, it was lovely! Good TV , plenty of movies, and a nice bath. Just off the room is a common are with a micro wave, small fridge and a nice variety of little snacks and drinks. Another common area just off the front entrance is decorated in a soft pink, with comfortable furnishings, a stereo and a TV along with a fireplace. It was very inviting with a choice of books, and plenty of local info as well.
Most important, we slept very well, and Jeff had armed us with a map and lots of info to make our exploration of this charming area a success!AND it is located smack dab in between both Lake Jocassee, and Lake Keowee with easy access to both!
After you get into Salem, the last little bit is tricky to find, so make sure you get the detailed directions from Julie, DO NOT depend on your GPS. Although, once you round the curve and can see the, " big Red Barn," it's a snap. There are potbelly pigs, sheep, lama, and little ponies that are friendly and well taken care of. Also a cat, and an adorable little dog, "Buddy" (and if he begs a little, blame my husband!)
You could do alot worse that a stay at Sunrise Farms, I'm not sure you could do any better!
