After eating out for several nights in and around the Beaufort/Charleston areas, Sweetgrass was really the highlight of our trip. We arrived a little early, so walked out on the docks in front of restaurants for a bit. So pretty!
We were seated out on the screened in porch. There were a few bugs out there, but no big deal. Our meals were incredible. From the sweet potato biscuits to entrees, everything was delicious. Our party ordered the special (a stuffed fish type of dish) and the shrimp and grits, which were incredible. Our service was great, waiter was friendly, and we thought the menu to be really creative and fun. The owners were busy in and around the restaurant, checking on tables, etc. Restaurant was relatively calm when we were there (6-7:30ish) but started to get busy toward the end. A total surprise from the outside- interior is so pretty and atmosphere is great.
The attached market at the marina is surprisingly cute and had a good little deli-type of area.
