We were in Spartanburg for a softball tournament over Memorial Day weekend and this campground was a perfect location to Tyger River Park. We arrived after dark and were greeted and taken to our site which was right across from the pond. (8A) Plenty of activities over the holiday weekend to participate in, nice pool and very friendly staff and other campers/residents. Dog park is a little small but worked out perfect for our two big dogs - who were warmly welcomed (which made us very happy)! We will stay again when coming to Spartanburg.

Great camping experience! We stayed on the Premium site which faces the pond. We enjoyed fishing and watching the ducks. We also enjoyed playing air hockey, foosball and shooting pool in the game room. The campground is very well maintained and the owners are very pleasant.

I can't say enough great things about this little campground. The owners are awesome very helpful with all your camping needs. The campground is very clean and you couldn't ask for nicer owners!! Our stay here was great and it was very hard to say goodbye to everyone here. Thanks for a wonderful snowless winter. Bill and Aldora

From the minute you arrive you're treated like family. It's a very nice getaway! Great amneties such as a pond with sitting benches, kids play area, pavilion and laundry. The Gilliards' love and dedication sure shines thru here! Every area is very clean and well kept. Gives you a feeling of seclusion, there is plenty to do here from watching the ducks, fishing and just resting. A perfect retreat from daily life!

Room Tip: Location depends on personal preference

On the phone, Evan was most helpful and courteous, welcomed us on our arrival, escorted us to the site, delivered firewood, and made sure we were comfortable and had no issues. Park is way back off the road, quite a little valley or ravine to drive through and the asphalt is rough so drive slowly. You'll be greeted by loads of ducks from the large fishing pond, many of the sites sit among mature hardwoods (shade). About 1/3 of the park is seasonal folks who are very friendly and come by to visit. The laundry is clean, the free wifi signal is strong, however I could not get any internet so I used my Verizon JetPack. The owner chased down a car while we were sitting out to see who they were, he wants to know who is in the park at all times (that's a good thing) and this fella had not stopped at the office as the signs indicate. Big office/Camp Store, a game room for the kids, fishing (catch and release), propane and firewood for sale. (fire ring at each site)

Room Tip: Ask for a shaded site, not all are in the shade
