This venue has always been first class, the tableware, the china, the tea, the service, and of course the offings, not to mention the choice of wonderful hats for the ladies to play "dress up" for the occasion. My only complaint, where are the hats for men?? Important note: This is strictly for lunch time only; for "high Tea" or lunch if you choose,Tuesday - Sunday 11:00 AM -1:30 PM, Saturday High Tea Only. Closed Monday, we missed one time when we did not pay attention to the days open. Also, because it is so popular, reservations are suggested.

I took a group of senior adults to enjoy lunch and tea at Laura's Tea Room. This is our second trip to enjoy this adventure. Carol and her staff are so friendly and enjoy sharing their knowledge about the teas they serve and the area! The store (The Thomas Company) which is downstairs stocks really great and unique gifts. They have hats and real china tea cups and saucers for you to pick your favorite one. You feel like you have stepped back in time and it is a special day for all!

This is like stepping back in time. The building has been lovingly and authentically restored to its former glory. Owner operated! Great gift shop for everything tea. Cafe on lower level, & more formal area upstairs.
While in ton, tale time to see other historic buildings like the general store and smallest police station.

A group of friends enjoyed a visit to Laura's Tea Room! Enjoyed the hospitality and the food was delicious. You can enjoy this treat dressed in your finest or just in casual clothes. Hats are optional and we did not wear hats. You do need to make reservations. Menu varies daily.

I have been to Laura's Tea Room three times, and it just gets better and better. From the quaint shop downstairs, to the selection of hats and tea cups, the variety of teas and the delicious food, high tea at Laura's Tea Room is a must! The experience would be perfect for bridal parties, mothers and daughters or even a group of friends. I'm sure it won't be long before I go again! It is worth the drive from Columbia for the relaxing and pleasurable experience.
