This little restaurant snuck up on us by accident. We were forced to stop in the middle of a trip needed a close place to handsome food. I wanted fried catfish and had not had any for awhile because you just could not find it in our area. Not only did I get the fish, they have fried dill pickles and nicely done ones at that. Originally from :FLorida,we had been unable to find this odd fare in our adopted North Carolina. These were very lightly breaded and the cooker obviously hot enough cause they were not greasy. The portions huge even sharing with husband.
We stopped a week later and found the same great atmosphere. Although the Southwest shrimp dish had too many jalapenos to make it enjoyable, sitting on the porch watching the lake and the woods and that crazy herding white duck, more than made up for it. Why anyone would want to take a break at the normal fast food joint with no atmosphere or personality would be a mystery. The waitress even remembered us!
