My husband was searching for the perfect lightly battered seafood and tonight he found it!
Southern Fried Cast Net of flounder, scallops, shrimp and oysters. No only was the seafood to perfection, the fries and homemade tartar were great! I had fish tacos from the bar menu and was not disappointed. We think we will return tomorrow night.
The decor is anything but low country fish camp! It is lovely. Staff is helpful and friendly.
A wonderful experience all the way around!

The location is perfect. The view is great. The building works well with outdoor porches. Today in January it was 71 degrees at dinner time. Lovely. This is my third visit and the food is terribly disappointing. The roasted flounder was baked, there was no sign of any browning/roasting. The crab/spinach filling was tasty, but there were only two tiny shreds of spinach. The lemon risotto was not a risotto, it was a pile of rice mush. There was not a single grain of rice discernible. It was not edible. I am a local and desperately want a waterfront restaurant with good food. Perhaps they are reaching too far with complicated dishes? I hope they will reassess their menu or hire more competent chefs. My previous two visits were also disappointing. There is a reason that on a Friday night the restaurant had many empty tables, while the bar was overflowing.

Have visited there many times. We think the food is good and we love sitting on the porch for sunset. And they are dog friendly on the porch. Love their Sunday brunch Bloody Mary.

We enjoyed this out-of-the-way restaurant. It is situated in front of shrimping boat which gives it a great ambience for seafood. The shrimp burger was fantastic. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered by screens in has an overhead ceiling with fans making it very comfortable place to be outside. In our case it was cool outside so it was quite comfortable. This is a good family type restaurant that will easily fit a family with small children as well as older children. Good beer selection and some interesting drinks as well. We recommend it

A savvy local brought our party of 6 here for a reunion of sorts on a Saturday night. Thanks to him, we had reservations and were seated immediately despite the queue of hungry patrons. Unfortunately we had 2 other no-shows, but the restaurant graciously accommodated us. Our friendly server Sarah was very patient with our party, some of whom required extra assistance, while also handling several other tables.

The "Fishcamp" name suggested a basic menu, but they actually offer a wide selection of seafood apps and entrees. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, although I will try something else next time that one of my companions raved about. "Fishcamp" also implies a bargain; the prices weren't low, but they were reasonable. The decor wasn't fancy but somehow just right. I look forward to dining here again when we are visiting the Beaufort area.
