It's not quite clear to me how a small place like Pendleton, SC, could end up with two excellent bakeries! Granny's bakery on S. Mechanic and this one here on the village green. You'll have a few tough choices to make when you step in here: cheerful looking cupcakes? a piece of cake? a gigantic cookie? unusual pastries? We tried the pecan crisp which we had never seen anywhere else. You can buy whole cakes to take out, get pre-packaged small bags of cookies (almond macaroons anyone?) or sit down with a coffee and enjoy your treat right there. Adjacent to the bakery is a coffee shop/lunch place.

Have been going to Sunday Brunch for several months and haven't been disappointed yet. Wonderful food and great service - even when crowded. Bakery table is loaded with all kinds of desserts so you can try their desserts. Would recommend reservations on Sundays. During the week sandwiches are big and on fresh baked breads. What more could you ask for. Oh yeah - The Bakery. They have so many things to choose from it's hard to make a decision. Mary, the baker, does an extrordinary job decorating all the goodies. My mouth is watering just thinking about it all.

Nice little place, with a bakery on one side (small tables for the pastry lovers), and a larger sandwich-style shop on the other, with breakfast and lunch. Lots of choices, hot and cold fare, good service, good value. Recommeded

I love this place. The food is good, and everyone is super-friendly. I'm required to fill in certain boxes (like "When did you visit?") in order to post a review, but I eat here quite often -- alone as well as with family or friends -- and I highly recommend it.
