The High Tide was great for a night on our travels in February. It is a throwback to days gone by - a simple 2 story structure with good size rooms with a small equipped kitchen. I think it would be a good spot to do Myrtle Beach 'on the cheap'. You could cook meals in when you wanted and room prices are very reasonable. Norris at the front desk was very helpful as concierge, pointing out good spots for dinner and breakfast.
If you're a whiner who expects $300 rooms at $50 prices, go somewhere else. Yes, the curtains and carpets aren't new, but our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.More
