Stayed in unit 1504, which is a 2 BR oceanfront unit at the Prince Resort in June. Absolutely beautiful resort and the unit was immaculate. Fresh flowers were waiting for us upon our arrival. View was incredible. Loved the location of the resort, five minutes away from the hustle and bustle meant close enough to the action but when we wanted peace and quiet, we just settled on the beach in front of the resort or hung by the pier. Nice onsite restaurant and fitness center rounded out a great week for the family.

My family loved our stay at the Prince Resort. The North Myrtle Beach location is great - quiet but still close to all the attractions. We enjoyed the beach, pool and pier. Our condo was great - loved the master bathroom. We hope to be back soon to visit again.

We cannot say enough awesome things about this resort, and inparticular Tower 2. By far the cleanest, updated condo we have ever had the privilege to reserve. The oceanfront view took our breath away as we entered the condo's foyer; what a fantastic panoramic view!! All furnishing were welcoming and well kept and all the dark furniture shined. Check-in was a breeze ... only waited about 10 minutes right at 4:00 check-in time. Check-out was even faster, no wait at all about 30 minutes before scheduled 11:00 check-out. All the staff no matter where we were in the towers, or on the grounds, were exceptionally friendly and quick to speak. Towels were quickly exchanged with courteous cleaning staff and trash bins were available for disposing of your own trash or leaving outside doors for prompt pick-up if you chose. No problems with AC or hot water here and even the elevators were freshly scented - no stinky, wet and humid rides ever! Plus, all three elevators in Tower 2 worked ... no waiting ... a minute to 2 at the most!! Parking was plentiful on the higher floors so no need to squeeze into lower floors. Crossing the 2-lane street to the beach was no trouble whatsoever. What little traffic there was at most times of the day were very courteous to stop and let walkers cross. We used the kitchen often and loved every minute of it. Everything was right at our hand when needed; even a countertop wine chiller. The only thing we found missing was a spatula but a quick trip to Walmart and we purchased one to use and leave for the next guests. The lazy river and pool areas were always clean and I often watched the personnel each morning open the areas and make sure all chairs and such were in position to start each day. Having the pier available for walking and fishing was wonderful and with two restaurants on site and additional ones within walking distance, you virtually could park your car and never move it all week. We loved Basil's for pizza and the Dairy Hut for late night ice cream. Courtney at reservations was beyond friendly and courteous; she made a very last minute reservation for us and promised the best resort on the strip; we totally agree!! We cannot give enough praise to all the staff at the Prince for making it the wonderful stay it is ... the hard work, and high level of excellence is very much appreciated. We'll be back ... 11th floor corner condo!! We would also recommend the nearby Dolphin Sunset Cruise on the Sea Thunder ... a beautiful, relaxing ride ... and we must have seen 40 or 50 dolphin playing in the ocean waves ... some, not 10 feet from the ship. The Prince Resort is close to many fun things and makes Cherry Grove vacationing pure pleasure!! Thanks!!

Room Tip: Corner condos offer amazing ocean and inlet panoramic views.

This hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the pool was a little crowded but the hotel was sold out but was to be expected, the hotel is right by the pier. The restaraunt was not that great but there are lots of other places to eat around there.

Room Tip: The rooms in the tower across the street have the best view

This was the first time I had stayed at the Prince Resort. Check in was the absolute worst I have ever seen!! Not at the actual check in its self, but the parking to check in. One person, I dont know if he owned or just was renting was absolutely rude beyond what I have ever see. He was upset because traffic was backed up out into the street and began cursing out a person wating to get a parking space to check in. By the way he drove a maroon Oldmobile with South Carolina tags. and had a very fowl mouth, I would hope he was not employed by the Prince if he was he needs to go!! This is a resort, and with having many children around his behavior was not welcome.

From that point on everything was fine, It is quiet and a great location. The 1 bedroom suite was very nice and was pretty clean. It had kitchen with range, micro, full refrigerator and small dishwasher. It also had a laudnry center, so you could keep up on your laundry instead of doing it when you got home.

House keeping did come everyday, but only made bed and gave new towels. Trash bags would line the hallways from day to day, dont know if it was from maid service or people staying putting it outside their rooms? I wish they would have swept the floors of the sand. We tried to rinse everything off before bringing it in, but you still carry sand with you. So the ceraminc tile floors had quite a bit of sand on them by the end of our stay.

Parking wasnt bad except for check in, you could park in the 2nd tower, or a lot across the street. I picked this hotel, because of the Cherry grove fishing pier. My son wanted to do quite a bit of fishing, so I thought it would be a good choice. Also if you want to go deep sea fishing, drive 15 minutes north on 17 to Calabsh NC, catch the voyager fishing fleet. Very cheap, warning!! if you get sea sick dont bother. You wil spend most of your time hanging over the side or laying down in the cabin.

Did not call for any service, but noticed a few things that needed attention in the room such as, light bulbs burned out, caulking needed to be redone in bathroom, and carpet needed cleaning. The free Wi-Fi didnt really work that great, it was a hit or miss getting on.Registration and check out employees were always nice.

Over all it was a nice quiet vacation, and we enjoyed staying there. This place can be a bit pricey and should be monitoring their employees the ensure that are doing a thorough job. If house keeping would have done a better job, I would have given it a very good rating,

My family (me, hubby, teenage son + friend) stayed at the Prince in early July. Our room was beautiful and pretty spacious; the air conditioning worked beautifully. We liked that they had a wine fridge in the room. The room was clean and the furnishings were lovely.

We stayed in Tower 1 (on the beach) and the pool complex was a little disappointing. The hot tubs are extremely small and get filled up quickly. The main pool is really small and can get filled up quickly at times during the day. The complex was also not kept clean; lots of paper cups, napkins and a few beer cans were scattered throughout. Also, the front desk gives out pool tags for each guest, but no one checked them. Because the pool complex sits directly on the Cherry Grove Pier, I have a feeling that a number of people who were NOT staying at the hotel also used the pool complex. The hotel needs to do a MUCH better job of checking these tags and keeping the complex clean.

We ventured up to the pool complex on Tower 2, but were told from many guests that this was the favorite hangout of all of the teenagers. The view from up there was gorgeous, but it was a bit more raucous than the complex for Tower 1.

The "fitness facilities" are a joke. There is a 10 x 10 room that has a few dumbells in it, and another 10 x 10 room that has less than a handful of cardio equipment. Save yourself the trip and just go for a walk on the beach.

The breakfast buffet was pretty good, though food was pretty slow to come out. The views from the 3500 restaurant were wonderful. Food at the pier restaurant (which I am assuming is part of the hotel since all of the employees wore Prince t-shirts) was so-so. It was decent enough for a beach snack, though service was HORRIBLE and the food was ridiculously slow coming out. One of the servers spilled beer down my back while she was cleaning another table (let's call her "L") and didn't have the respect or maturity to apologize. After speaking with the manager we got one of our entrees for free. Prices here were also ludicrous - better to cook something in the room or have something delivered.

The best part of the resort was being able to walk out on the pier. Our teenage son and his friend enjoyed fishing off of the pier and the views from the end were breaktaking. Only $1.50 to walk out on the pier and only $6.00 to fish off of it since my son brought his own rod.

Housekeeping never did show up during our trip so we had to continually call to get fresh towels and toilet paper. Tech support also never showed up to fix our ceiling fan, and when we had trouble getting into our room Tech support was incredibly rude and made it seem like we were bothering him for his help. If Housekeeping, Tech support and the Front Desk Staff could all be retrained to actually be nice and fulfill their responsibilities then the hotel would be great. If location is what you're after - enjoy, if you also expect great service - keep looking.

Room Tip: Book Tower 1

Our trip to Prince Resort was extremely pleasant. The room was spotless. However, we had friends who rented at Prince through a realty agency in Cherry Grove and their experience wasn't as pleasing. We discovered that if you rent through the Resort itself, the cleaning staff does an impeccable job of cleaning. The cleaning staff is "on site" and takes pride in their work. However, the realty agency has its own cleaning staff and does not do nearly the job as the staff at the Prince Resort does. For example, the Resort staff changes ALL linens after each visitor--INCLUDING the bedspread.
Additionally, when you make your reservation through the Resort, you can request amenities like flat screen TV.
Other tips: The views at the Tower on the second row are awesome and unobstructed. That Tower also has a better pool and the parking is in that Tower also. We like that tower better--it is just a few steps away from the beach with the same views.
Recommendation: Stick with reserving your room through the Resort itself and not an outside realty agent which may have less than desirable cleaning standards.
