This had to be the best thing we did while we are at the Beach. Will do again next year. The cruise left out of barefoot landing it was about 2 hours slowly going down the river, dinner was included and it was great, buffet style. We sat on the deck instead of inside. Would recommend this for anyone who is just looking for 2 hours of peacefulness. Families, couples, or just a group of friends. One thing that bothered me was all the tip containers located all over the boat especially when leaving.

On a recent trip to Myrtle Beach, we were looking to do something a little different and stumbled upon this attraction. It is located at Barefoot Landing behind Greg Norman's Australian restaurant. We went in the evening and it was enjoyable and relaxing. I am glad we went in the evening. I am not sure if it would be as enjoyable during the day in the heat. The cruise was just the right amount of time. It was not the dinner cruise. We got to see some impressive homes along the waterway. Our DJ/guide was very enjoyable and did a got job of engaging us .Make sure to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. This cruise is not offered every night. They rotate the schedule so you need to check when each cruise is offered.

My mom has wanted to do this for years, so in planning our trip to Myrtle Beach we decided this would be one thing we would add to our itinerary. The concept of this is great. The dining area sits on the bottom floor of the ship which during dinner you can hear the motor the whole time. Some of the windows have broken seals so you can't see clearly out of them while dining. The only things to look at are fancy houses we normal folk could never afford. The food: let me just preface that I love going places and finding new places to eat. I love food. Country Crock is not real butter. The buffet consists of a salad that is mostly romaine lettuce and a few tomatoes and carrots served with Ranch or Vidalia onion dressing, green bean casserole, boxed mashed potatoes, "grilled" chicken, and pulled pork and rolls. The pulled pork was the best and probably the most non-frozen thing. The dessert was vanilla pudding topped with cool whip, not whipped cream, A vanilla wafer, and a cherry. The only beverages included are UNsweet tea and water.
We brought our almost 2 year old on this with us and there was no high chair or booster seat for smaller children.
The entertainment was very interesting. Just because you are a songwriter does not necessarily mean you should be a performer nor should you be singing Montel Jordan. It gave us all a great giggle though. We were fortunate enough to have a group of Red Hats that helped make the evening very fun!
I would say the improvements could be a seafood dish since we are on the coast and some SWEET tea. We are in the South.

Thank you for cruising with us Saturday evening! We appeciate your review and opinions.

Our entertainer for the evening is one of the most sought after entertainers in the Southeast, having been a member of the Allman Bros Band and Ronnie Milsap's band as vocalist. We do understand everyone has their personal music preferences, but the high school reunion, birthday party and Red Hat groups onboard sure danced the evening away!

In addressing the high chair/booster seats, our booster seats are available upon asking. With our limited storage space on the riverboat, we are unable to prvide high chairs, so I apologize about this particular item.

Believe me, we love our sweet tea also, but we adjusted our tea to accommodate all individuals (those with health issues, preferences, etc.) and allow our guests to choose whether to keep the tea unsweet, or sweeten it themselves. Along with that, we have kept the riverboat tradition (over 13 years) of being a buffet-style (not all you can eat, necessarily) with a limited selection due to our type of venue. There are fantastic local seafood restaurants that we recommend to visitors looking for seafood, but our galley is not set up to prepare fresh seafood on a daily basis.

Again, thank you for your review. The concerns will be discussed and addressed with management. Be safe in your travels. -Sara Roland, Director of Marketing/Sales

We went on the afternoon sightseeing cruise. After reading some prior trip advisor reviews, we almost decided not to do this, but I am so glad we went! We had a perfect day in mid-May to sit outside and soak up the sun and enjoy an adult beverage as the boat cruised on the intercoastal waterway. Being from Chicago, we enjoyed the accent of the narration, and being first time visitors to Myrtle Beach, we enjoyed being on the intercoastal, and seeing some of the beautiful homes. Yes, they do play some loud music and encourage dancing to the hokey pokey, etc on the way back, but we thought it was great fun! (and we are nowhere near 80!) We had a discount from our hotel (and saw discounts in coupon books, too). Highly recommend for an enjoyable, affordable couple of hours.
