“Locals Love It and Visitors Shouldn't Pass It Up”

I live close by and kept smelling the BBQ cooking. Finally stopped in for takeout one day and have been a customer ever since. The servings are generous and I love the traditional pulled pork, coleslaw, and potato salad dinner so much that I haven't yet gotten anything different!

“Awesome BBQ, excellent service, a must if you are within a 100 mile radius!”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

We visit the North Myrtle Beach area frequently and have been to many of the areas restaurants and this by far is one of the best. As soon as you get out of your car you can smell the wood BBQ. They should be able to bottle this smell it is so awesome. The food was excellent! We had the chopped BBQ specials and an order of the smoked wings. Being from the area of the U.S.A. where wings originated, we have had some of the best and are critical of wings. These were some of the best wings ever. Big and plump, crispy on the outside, and delicious! On warm days there are tables to sit outside and savory the small and taste of awesome food. Don't miss this little gem hidden in the Cherry Grove area.

“don't judge a book by its cover :-)”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

YUMMY! The service was excellent. Made to feel like we mattered by the waitress and staff. Now onto the food......had BBQ burger, baked beans, pulled pork with hush puppies. Everything was spot on! Burger was juicy not greasy, and an ample amount. Baked beans, were flavorful and a meal in their own right (so says my hubby!). Pulled pork was tender as could be! Hush puppies was spot on.....not too sweet but just sweet enough. I would go here again and again :-)

“Change of owners, still good”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

This business has changed hands in the last year.

This is still a good home cooked Carolina bbq style restaurant. The menu is limited, perhaps too limited (no desserts like banana pudding), but the basic bbq is good, the ribs better, smoked in the parking lot cooker which has a nice smell up and down the street nearby. The four bbq sauces are even better. The sides are good (cole slaw, 2 kinds), hushpuppies, potato salad, to very good like the baked beans.

The portions are generous and good value for money. Presently, the $19.99 family pack has 1 pound bbq, baked beans, cole slaw and hushpuppies enough for 4 generous plates of food.

The service is friendly and sincere. A locally owned family type business that makes it all the more so.

There is no pretense in the location. While clean, spacing is tight and the atmosphere Spartan, characteristic of many Carolina smokehouse bbq establishments. Almost like going to a tobacco barn to eat.

Overall, a good experience, and especially good for takeout.
