Took my mother there recently for a special Mother's Day treat. She's not a seafood lover, but the restaurant was her choice. With that being said, she and I both thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The restaurant was easy to find, and had a very pleasant atmosphere. I'm not one that enjoys loud music or televisions while I'm trying to dine, and this place thankfully had neither. We were greeted warmly and were informed that even though our reservations were not for another half hour, we could be seated. The wait staff was spot on, and our courses arrived expediently and were delicious. The ginger dumplings were flavorful, as were the scallops, both appetizers recommended by our server and served quickly. The main courses, which was a chicken with black rice dinner for mom (I've regretfully forgotten the name) and Diablo shrimp fettuccine for me, were tasty and cooked perfectly. My favorite dish of the day was the strawberry shortcake dessert. The shortbread cookie and cream sauce were perfectly underplayed with just a hint of sweetness so that the strawberries were rightfully the star of the dish. From start to finish, from the reception to the check, it was one of the most pleasant and enjoyable dining experiences I've had.
