Loved this experience! Family run business that goes above and beyond! The grounds are beautiful with lots to do. The boys loved racing down river in the floating ducks. Adults loved floating down with coolers:) couldn’t fit in the Survivor Challebfe but it looked seriously cool! Wish we could have spent whole day there! Highly recommend!!!

My husband and I had a great time doing the Escape River Island experience! We competed against two other teams to find clues, solve puzzles and kayak our way upstream to be the first team back to the base camp. We got wet, dirty and were completely exhausted at the end of our adventure but in a very good way! We brought our own lunch and hung out afterwards to try all the games, hanging pods, hammocks, and activities that River Island Adventures had to offer. After vacationing in Myrtle beach for many years we were looking for something different to do. This was definitely it and such a unique experience! Jeff, the owner, was our guide and was very friendly, welcoming and taught us a lot about the area.

My wife and I had the time of our lives. I have never spent a night much less two in a tent in my life. And much to my surprise I had a blast. The activities, hosts, and meals were great. The outpost also had many things to do, places to relax, take naps or photos, giant jenga, giant connect four, tree pods, a slack line and my favorite was by far the River. The River is the main attraction and the black water of the Waccamaw did not disappoint whether in a kayak, tube, pontoon or giant Rubber Duck the water was refreshing and the fun was seemingly endless. The ESCAPE FROM RIVER ISLAND game was worth the price alone. My friend and I were challenged, physically and mentally as we attempted to solve puzzles in order to unlock our tandem kayak and get back to the outpost. The scenery was breathtaking and so was the race back literally. We wore our white team buffs in pride as we were cheered on by campers and staff. It seemed like everyone stopped what they were doing to congratulate each participant as they crossed the finish line. I highly recommend River Island Adventures, and we will definitely be back.
