“Dont Bother if you want seafood, country cooking just ok”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Had ate at Preston's years ago. It was ok for me then. By that I mean that it served seafood and country cooking on the buffet. My wife does not eat seafood at all, so the country cooking was good for her, and the seafood was a just barely ok. As a compromise, we tried it again. The country cooking was still ok according to my wife, but the seafood had become noticeably worse. Flounder was so thin that there was a tiny bit of fish in the breading. Oysters were not good at all, they never had to refill because nobody was eating them. Crab Imperial, nothing but a greasy mess, not edible at all. Hush puppies, really? That is the seafood that I tried. For my $21, my meal was these tastes of seafood that were bad, and 2 pieces of pecan pie that was actually good. I do not eat fried chicken, or paper thin T-bone steaks, so other than the pie, Preston's had nothing to offer. For $5 more, Giant Crab was good, and for $10 more, Captain Georges was great.

“Great Place”
Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

Loved the buffet, it was kept clean and fresh! A large variety, also a kids buffet. A little cheaper than other places@ 19.95 and extra for crab legs. Nice family place! We will be back!

“Good buffet but expensive”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I went here and thought everything I had was good. I tried a few different seafood items that I usually wouldn't get and the other types of food were good too. They have a kids section which is nice but I think that having to pay for a 3 yr old is a little ridiculous. I didn't pay extra for the crab legs but lots of people did. If you plan on going then go when you are hungry so you can get your moneys worth.

“Ok but well...its OK.”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Good selection! Poor quality crab legs!
Great service and clean restrooms. The price was not bad for seafood buffet but the crab legs were tough and the crab wasn't clean. What I mean by clean the crab should have been thrown back when caught but the restaurant served clean food. Nice staff!

“Great Food and Crablegs”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

Well I had eaten here several years ago and loved it...I checked Tripadvisor and saw several negative comments...I was hesitant to return but past experiences here made me come back...well it was as good as I remember and service was a lil better than before as well ...Rhett was our server and went above and beyond thanks Rhett.... The crablegs were served hot out the water and steaming not on the bar all sticky and dried out ..the best part was some in our party did not eat crablegs and they offered a reduced price without crablegs...the Shrimp and grits were a pleasnt surprise on the buffet ...kids love their own lil bar and the desserts were wonderful I had Red Velvet cake...when I inquired about the negative reviews they informed that their previous Kitchen manager was recently replaced those comments were posted when he was running the kitchen...Prestons is reasonably priced and there are several coupons out there ...Come try it you'll like it HH
