Had ate at Preston's years ago. It was ok for me then. By that I mean that it served seafood and country cooking on the buffet. My wife does not eat seafood at all, so the country cooking was good for her, and the seafood was a just barely ok. As a compromise, we tried it again. The country cooking was still ok according to my wife, but the seafood had become noticeably worse. Flounder was so thin that there was a tiny bit of fish in the breading. Oysters were not good at all, they never had to refill because nobody was eating them. Crab Imperial, nothing but a greasy mess, not edible at all. Hush puppies, really? That is the seafood that I tried. For my $21, my meal was these tastes of seafood that were bad, and 2 pieces of pecan pie that was actually good. I do not eat fried chicken, or paper thin T-bone steaks, so other than the pie, Preston's had nothing to offer. For $5 more, Giant Crab was good, and for $10 more, Captain Georges was great.
