The HL Hunley is submerged at this point in a restorative bath. You can still see much of her outer-works and inner-works. Despite some negative reviews, it is well worth the $12 to see. Much of the artifacts on display are reproductions until such time as a legitimate museum (in the works) is created to house the fully restored sub and artifacts. The Docents are very well versed in the CW history and sub and crew(s) of the Hunley. Don't pass on visiting the nearby Magnolia cemetery where all three of the Hunley crew are interred. Give yourself an hour+ for tour and visiting the museum.
Also available are very cool $10 souvenir reproductions of Captain Dixions famous "Shilo battlefield" USA coin w/ his inscription that saved his life from a Union musket ball. It was recovered during the raising of the vessel 150 years later. Makes a cool gift for someone or something to carry to honor all war dead.
