A friend and I decided to visit Charleston, SC. I found this hotel which is about 15 minutes from downtown and close to airport. It was less expensive then staying downtown. It seems like a fairly new hotel so everything inside was pretty nice. The staff was very friendly. Although on arrival one of the girls that helped check me in was a little spacey. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and a very comfortable couch. Room was spacious, had a large flat screen tv, iron, fridge, no microwave though. Bathroom was clean and looked new. The bad news. Our bed linen was stained and we found a few hairs. It took awhile for new linen to be sent up. The new sheets were clean but had holes in them. They should spend some money on new sheets. The young man that brought them up was very apologetic and offered us a beverage. We declined, we just wanted to sleep. The only other thing was a weird, stale smell throughout the hotel. I actually think it has something to do with the water. Maybe it's me but the water has a slight smell to it and tastes horrible. They have a decent breakfast in the morning which is included in the price. The normal oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, juice, tea and coffee. If you miss the breakfast there are several restaurants close to hotel. There is an IHOP and Cracker Barrel right next door. Although the hotel didn't seem that crowded, the parking lot was always full. Overall it was very comfortable, convenient place to stay for the money.
