We stayed here this past week for our wedding!! Outside looked good and most of the hotel was up to par.. But they always say u get what u pay for.. Which was way over charged! We were on the very top floor (15th) . The elevators worked some times and other times it didnt. Our room was okay as far as clean but the beds were horriable. Our mattress had a huge tear down the side of it with crap falling out . looked about 80 yrs old. And our sheets were stained bad. When i called to get new ones the front desk was very hateful and unpleasent. If housekeeping changes your sheets they charge extra. So i did it myself. The Pool area was very nice and the music was awesome. The lazy river was grinzy looking and hot tub looked nasty. The manager finally didnt charge me for my last nights stay but i wouldnt advise anyone to stay here! Unless they Change alot of things..

All my comments surrounding the appearance of the guest rooms centers on the idea of false advertisements. The rooms on the website look incredibly clean where as the real rooms show all the flaws. Toenail clippings in both rooms, trash and old toys under the TV stand, rust/mold in the bathrooms, and dirt or stains on the walls. It took all of my strength just to shower thinking about what may or may have not been cleaned. I never took off my slippers during my stay and I almost cried when I had to shower. You can feel all the springs in the beds except the wall bed; that had the softest bed in the entire room. The towels and blankets were so rough that you thought they might take off a layer of skin.

Don't let the "Las Vegas"-party style website fool you. There will be children running around in the halls, on the elevator, and splashing you in the pool. The walls are paper thin so you can hear people in the halls or outside. Sometimes the pipes make noises comparable to a jackhammer -- at one point I thought they were doing construction on part of the building but it's just the pipes so have fun with that! This romantic weekend was far, far from what I had planned.

Moreover, the "Oceanview" was more like an ocean view if you craned your neck off the patio to see it. You're getting charged more to have a "sort of" ocean view. It's ridiculous.

Room Tip: Beware of "ocean view"

Came here for a quick anniversary weekend. We booked the king, ocean front room. The room was clean, neat, and not cluttered with cheesy hotel decor. We enjoyed the music that was played by the pool, and the starbucks on the ground floor was awesome. The staff was very polite. This was a very cost effective vacation. It was not very expensive, but still nice. I cant wait to bring my family back in the summer for a few days. (We may try to sneak down for another weekend in the winter.)

Room Tip: Dont bother with a kitchen if you don't plan on cooking.

When we checked in the lady at the front desk was nice but did not tell us about all of the amenities we could use for example the free bowling. We went to our room which was ok and looked very out dated when we read on the website and visit myrtle beach website that the rooms were newly remodeled. The 2nd night we were there, we saw a huge cockroach running around on the floor in our "living room" and it then crawled into a hole in between the carpet and the wall. We went downstairs right away to tell the front desk and they seemed like they didn't care at all! The lady there said in a monotone voice we can spray or move you. We requested to move and they moved us to the room directly above ours. We packed up and moved upstairs where the room was more updated but had a ton of broken stuff- the faucet in the bathroom was not really attached to the sink anymore, the oven did not close all the way so the oven light would stay on 24/7 and heat up the kitchen when we used it, the one outlet in the bathroom did not work even after reseting it, the door knob/lock to the living room area was broken, there was a sheet tray in the kitchen that had 2 burnt spots on it, and there was no chain on the main door to the hotel room. Our friend also got charged twice at the bar and went to go ask about it and Allen was at the front desk and said it was the bartenders fault. The situation finally got fixed. The only nice and helpful person at the hotel was the bartender-Christoph. The front desk people were not helpful at all and rude. Allen and Kevin we delt with and were rude and did not help us at all. With all of the problems we had no one offered us anything! I would not return because of the service and the fact that nothing was up to date or very clean.
